Plot of Rater Rajnigandha
The movie begins with Jui (Rituparna Sengupta) moving to Kolkata after losing her parents in an accident. She starts working as a bar singer in a hotel, where she meets Rajesh (Rajesh Sharma), a wealthy businessman who falls in love with her. He proposes to her and she agrees, hoping for a better life. However, she soon realizes that Rajesh is involved in illegal activities and he forces her to become an escort for his clients. Jui feels trapped and miserable in her marriage.
One day, she meets Rahul (Badshah Maitra), a novelist who is looking for inspiration for his next book. He is intrigued by Juis story and offers to help her escape from Rajesh. Jui agrees and they start meeting secretly. Rahul writes a novel based on Juis life, titled Rater Rajnigandha (Night Jasmine). The novel becomes a bestseller and Jui becomes famous. However, Rajesh finds out about their affair and vows to take revenge on them.
